Why I’m taking OneMonthRails

A few weeks ago, I signed up for a ruby on rails course at OneMonthRails.com.  Their claim is that you get to take a $16,000 course for $99.

I have very limited prior knowledge of coding.  I took one weekend course a few months ago for like $500, but since I didn’t practice at all, I forgot pretty much everything.  Prior to that, 0.

Once I’m done with One Month, I know I won’t be a good or even serviceable developer.  You can’t really get good at anything in one month.  The plan is to see how I like it and see if it’s something I want to dig deeper into.

My real goal here is to demystify “coding” and have a cursory understanding of what “ruby”, “rails” and “ruby on rails” are.
